Having worn many hats in the fishing industry in Kodiak – sport fisherman, research biologist and manager biologist, commercial fisherman, commercial fish processor and now as a sport fish guide and lodge owner– Marty Eaton has developed a well rounded perspective of the resources of Kodiak and their impact on one another over the past 40 years. With that experience, we have developed a philosophy which puts conservatism of the resource first and to tread lightly in keeping Kodiak Island pristine and wild for the long-term. Our lodge and employees practice several ideals:
- Experience Counts – all employees have experience with areas, fishing techniques and applicable licenses and qualifications
- Your Safety First
- Pack it in – Pack it out (even cigarette butts)
- Strict adherence to regulations (state & federal)
- Conservative Lodge Fish Limits
- Ethical Catch and release practices – no bait, barb-less single hooks.
- Respect for animals environment and space while viewing
Kodiak Island is our home, and we want it to remain pristine for future generations to enjoy the beauty of this emerald isle.
